Razah's Variable Profession
Since Razah hasn't been released yet I was wondering about her so-called "Variable Proffession". Maybe its like the Apocrypha you fight who changes his proffession in battle............

i always thought was a hero you unlocked when passed the game and in that moment you had to choose the profession... but obiusly is not that way... so what i think is that you can change his primary prof. when you want (just in outposts of course) or finally you have to choose his prof. when you get it for first time, dunno.

For balancing issues you can rest assured if he can change his primary profession it will only be in an outpost. If they allowed him to have multiple profession skills on his bar it would create a huge issue. What would make this hero nice is if he can change to Ritualist. I assume if he can there will be a lot of people hunting for him for that very reason.

I imagine we will be picking his primary when we get him. I don't think he'll be able to change it because of issues with runes and profession specific insignia. But, I certainly don't know as he doesn't appear to be in the game as of yet. I guess we'll find out at some point.

He's the "young monk" or "young ranger" that follow you around when your first hero is doing something else.

That's not Razah; as from the update notes:
Quote:
- If you and another player both invite the same Hero, one of them will be the “real” Hero who will interact with NPCs in cinematics and other scripted sequences, and the other will be an “imposter” who will use a generic name for the duration of the mission.

When you enter an area where a grouped hero is an NPC (such as the command post), or when you have two of the same hero, in some areas your version of the hero is replaced with <young X>.

Hmm, I never really thought about insignia's or runes on him. But I guess there's two ways they can do this if indeed he can change his primary.
The Expensive way:
Runes and Insignias will work for his current particular profession, once he switches to a different profession the runes and Insignias will remain on his armor but will lose their bonuses. Thus making it quite expensive if you plan on using him for multiple professions.
The Affordable way:
He will have base bonuses on his armor that can be benefited from any profession that can not be applied to anyone else OR he can only be costumized with insignias and runes that are not class specific. If the 2nd holds true then he will obviously not be as useful as a primary specific hero.
Either way you look at it I think he will mostly be useful as a Ritualist hero since we don't have one yet. Other then that unlocking him will most likely be a vanity / Status symbol thing.

Quoted from the info on Razah in the NF Instruction Manual:
Quote:
When the Mists come into contact with a suitable human template, for example, it can copy that form, creating a sentient entity with a humaniod appearance and almost human mind.
|
My belief is that he will be a clone, of sorts, of your character, based off the info in this quote.

If you read the description on Razah in the manual couldn't Razah really be YOU?
And therefore any profession?

What if he got skill to mimic others skill bar and profession in party. Let's say eg he temporally copy your character's skill bar and set even stats etc.

I think it's going to be pick a primary and that is it. no changing it.
you could make a 4 man barrage team with your heroes.

Another possibility is that Razah has a separate armour set with its own runes and inscriptions for each profession.

The way I interpreted Razah it seems to me he will be a PURE Hero. meaning he will be level 20 with 200 attrib, but instead of changing 2ndaries (he will have none) you just choose what profession he will be.
So he will be a PURE profession. Pure monk, Pure Rit, Pure Ele, whatever... 1 for each. No secondary...
I was upset that heroes can not be reverted back to pure mode once you add a secondary to them, so I am guessing Razah will incorporate this concept.
and yes if this concept is true his armor set would be like the hero head gear Dependant on Profession attrib of rune. So maybe it will be Dependant on Main profession in his case instead. Or he may not be able to use attrib Dependant runes at all... maybe only the new runes that are not Dependant on attribs... who knows? we will see I guess.
